Liam Hemsworth joins 'The Expendables 2'

The Hunger Games star will portray a sniper in the forthcoming follow-up to 2009's The Expendables, according to Variety.
Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris were recently confirmed to be among the cast of the action film, joining Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and producer Sylvester Stallone.
Jason Statham has also revealed that the sequel to The Expendables will begin shooting in two weeks in Bulgaria.
Hemsworth - who is currently dating Miley Cyrus - recently confessed that he prefers to keep the details of his relationship with the 'Party in the USA' singer private.
The Expendables 2 opens in cinemas on August 17, 2012.
