Leonardo DiCaprio, Judi Dench star in Clint Eastwood's 'J Edgar' - watch the first trailer

The first trailer for Clint Eastwood's biopic J Edgar has debuted online.
The movie, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of J Edgar Hoover, follows the life of the first director of the FBI. The actor uses prosthetic make-up to play the adult Hoover in his later years.
The trailer shows Dame Judi Dench in the role of Hoover's mother Annie kissing her son on the cheek, telling him: "Edgar, you will rise to be the most powerful man in the country." She is also seen warning her adult son: "Blood is on your hands."

The first look at the Dustin Lance Black-penned film also features Naomi Watts as Hoover's secretary Helen Gandy, Armie Hammer as Clyde Tolson and Burn Notice's Jeffrey Donovan as Robert F Kennedy.
J Edgar opens on November 9 in the US and on January 20, 2012 in the UK.
