The movie, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of J Edgar Hoover, follows the life of the first director of the FBI. The actor uses prosthetic make-up to play the adult Hoover in his later years.
The trailer shows Dame Judi Dench in the role of Hoover's mother Annie kissing her son on the cheek, telling him: "Edgar, you will rise to be the most powerful man in the country." She is also seen warning her adult son: "Blood is on your hands."
