The 30-year-old confessed that he prefers working on the ensemble film to starring in Captain America: The First Avenger, saying that he feels less pressure since he is not the movie's only star.
"With The Avengers, we're sharing the workload," Evans told Collider. "It's a lot nicer when you're not the only one wearing a silly costume."
The actor went on to say that starring in the high-profile films has not affected his personal life, admitting that he still enjoys a degree of anonymity.
"My life hasn't changed too much," Evans said. "It's tricky when you're working and you're on a set, and obviously it's a spectacle and people are giving you attention.
"But when I'm not working and I'm living my life, I still have a decent amount of anonymity."
Evans recently revealed that he initially had reservations about starring alongside such a large ensemble cast in The Avengers.
Evans's Avengers co-star Chris Hemsworth previously said that he too enjoys having a much lighter workload filming The Avengers than in his first Marvel Studios outing Thor.
The Avengers opens in theatres on May 4, 2012.
