The actor will next be seen in superhero sci-fi film Ra.One alongside Kareena Kapoor.
Khan told DNA India: "I had to work hard to physically train myself to perform the stunts and now I am running around promoting Ra.One. I am tired and have had enough of stunts, I want to star in a sweet romantic film now."
The actor added that he did not have any actresses in mind for the romantic lead in future films, saying: "I don't cast my heroines, it is done by the directors and producers."
Khan has previously described Ra.One as a "family entertainer".
He launched the music for the film this month, denouncing a leak of the soundtrack before its official release.
The soundtrack features music from R&B star Akon, who performs the track 'Chammak Challo'.
