The Parks and Recreation actress said that she had a wonderful time on the film set and would never have expected to have such a unique opportunity as an actress.
"It was the most surreal moment of my life. I definitely didn't ever expect to act alongside the Muppets. I was in tears [on] my first day of work," Jones explained in a new interview with Parade.
"I was kind of bummed because I didn't get to meet Miss Piggy until the end. I was wondering if we were going to ever cross paths because we didn't have a scene together. I wanted to make sure I met Miss Piggy. It was important to me."
The Muppets - which also stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams - will debut in US cinemas on November 23 before arriving in the UK on February 17, 2012.
Jones previously said that she found it difficult to play a "mean" character in The Muppets.
