The Shrek spinoff had been scheduled to hit cinemas on November 4, but will now open a week earlier to avoid the Thanksgiving rush of family films.
The film sees Antonio Banderas reprise his role as the titular character, and also features voice acting from the likes of Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Puss in Boots will now open in cinemas on October 28.
The studio recently released a new viral teaser for the forthcoming animation based on the Dos Equis 'Most Interesting Man in the World' adverts.
