Rosamund Pike on Tom Cruise's 'One Shot': 'Reacher is electrifying'

Tom Cruise's One Shot co-star Rosamund Pike has called Lee Child's series of Jack Reacher novels "electrifying".
Pike, who will play Helen Rodin opposite Cruise in Christopher McQuarrie's movie adaptation, told Digital Spy of her excitement for the project.
"They're really electrifying," she said of Child's books. "He's a great character, Jack Reacher. He's a really modern hero."
Asked how she broke the ice with Cruise, Pike responded: "There's no ice-breaking necessary. He is warm... he's totally giving, totally engaged and he's just the type of actor you want to work with.
"He plays with you, he's willing to try anything, riff on the words and improvise. It was like playing tennis with a top tennis player and feeling that your game was being improved by the process."
One Shot, co-starring Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins and David Oyelowo, will arrive in cinemas in 2013.
