Queen Latifah has praised her Joyful Noise co-star and fellow musician Dolly Parton.
The artists will play opposite each other in the upcoming gospel choir movie, which centres on two strong women who struggle to see eye-to-eye. They are forced to work together in order to save a small town gospel choir from folding due to budget cuts.
In a new interview with Parade, Queen Latifah applauded Parton's ability to stay grounded despite her extensive showbiz success.

"She is unbelievable. She's an icon. She was someone I looked up to when I was growing up mostly because we both had larger breasts in common," Latifah explained.
"She was talented, she carried herself so well, she made great music, she's sassy, and she's a great actress. If there's anybody gets to be a diva it's her. But she's way down-to-earth."
Parton recently revealed that she became famous in order to be loved as she felt "lost" during her childhood.
