Halle Berry wanted for Joel Schumacher thriller 'The Hive'

The movie centres on an emergency phone line operator who finds herself having to deal with a killer from her past when making contact with a young girl. New Year's Eve star Berry is in line for the lead.
Joel Schumacher will be directing from a script by Thir13en Ghosts and Exit Wounds writer Richard D'Ovidio, according to Coming Soon.
The director, whose movie Flatliners is to be remade with a script from Source Code writer Ben Ripley, said that he may make two independent films ahead of directing the bigger-budget project.
"There are two very small movies that are tempting me. That's where the really interesting material is right now: you can do things that you can't do in a much larger-budget movie, much more risky material," he said.
Schumacher has also been linked to an HBO adaptation of The Big Girls, about a psychologist at a women's prison who has to deal with clients while managing her own emotional crises.
