Gerard Butler and Steven Strait are in negotiations to star in post-apocalyptic Western Priest.
Based on Min-Woo Hyung's comic book tale, the film will tell the story of a rebellious warrior priest who disobeys Church orders in teaming up with a sheriff and a priestess to hunt a group of vampires who have run off with his niece.
Butler (The Phantom of the Opera) will play the priest, whilst Strait (Sky High) takes the sheriff role, reveals The Hollywood Reporter.
Andrew Douglas will direct from Cory Goodman's screenplay. Michael De Luca, Josh Donen, Sam Raimi and Mitchell Peck are producing.
