Sony picks Zhang Yimou's 'Flower'

Sony Pictures Classics has acquired the American rights to Curse of the Golden Flower, the new martial arts film from House of Flying Daggers director Zhang Yimou.
The film focuses on a dysfunctional royal family, headed by Gong Li and Chow Yun Fat, and the power struggles between themselves and their three sons.
Flying Daggers choreographer Tony Ching Siu-Tung is also aboard the project, which is currently filming in China.
