Hugh Jackman has said that he wants to make The Wolverine the definitive movie adaptation of the Marvel Comics character. Watch Hugh Jackman discuss The Wolverine with Digital Spy below:
The Real Steel star told Digital Spy that Mark Bomback and Christopher McQuarrie's screenplay "feels like the best we've had".
The Wolverine will be directed by James Mangold and is based on the 1982 comic story by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, which sees the character in Japan.
"One of the first [comic book stories] that drew my attention was the samurai story, I always thought this was such a great backdrop for this character," Jackman said.
"The story was intricate and interesting, filmically I thought it would be ideal. This is a movie I've been longing to make."
