'Hellboy' star Doug Jones for 'Neighborhood Watch'

Doug Jones has reportedly been cast in Fox's upcoming sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones will portray an alien in the film, about a group of Neighborhood Watch parents who accidentally uncover an alien plot to take over the world.

Jones is best known for his many acting roles involving heavy prosthetic make-up, including Abe Sapien in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy films, and both Fauno and Pan in del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.

Neighborhood Watch stars Ben Stiller alongside the likes of Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Billy Crudup.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola recently cast doubt over whether del Toro will ever make a third film based on the popular Dark Horse comic book series.

Neighborhood Watch is due to begin shooting in Atlanta later this month.
