Mickey Rourke to play terrorist in thriller 'Java Heat'

Mickey Rourke has signed up to the independent thriller Java Heat.
The actor will take on the role of a gem thief who orchestrates the schemes of a terrorist group, according to Variety.
He will be joined by Twilight's Kellan Lutz, playing a prejudiced man who is forced to team up with a Muslim cop in order to track down Rourke's character's gang in Southeast Asia.
Hearts of Freedom director Conor Allyn will be directing from a script co-written by his father Rob.
Rourke will next be seen in the sequel to The Expendables, reprising the role of Tool from the first film.
He is also cast in Tarsem Singh's Greek myth epic Immortals, which co-stars Superman Henry Cavill and Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto.
