'X-Men: First Class' writers to pen 'Top Gun' sequel

According to Variety, the duo, who also wrote the screenplay for Thor, have been tasked to begin work on the film's story.
Last year, Top Gun director Tony Scott announced plans for a long-awaited sequel and confirmed his intention to direct the new film.
The sequel will reportedly focus on a "new generation of fighter pilots" and will be more of a "re-thinking" of the original rather than a direct sequel.
The original Top Gun will receive a 3D cinema re-release in early 2012.
