Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' gets Christmas 2012 release

The film, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's critically-acclaimed classic, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as lead character Jay Gatsby.
The Great Gatsby is currently filming in Australia and also stars Carey Milligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Amitabh Bachchan.
The film's announced release date puts it on the same date as DiCaprio's other upcoming project, Quentin Tarantino's Western Django Unchained.
The Great Gatsby will be released in cinemas on December 25, 2012.
