Kevin Bacon has said that he regrets the use of a stunt double in the original Footloose.

The X-Men: First Class star confessed that he was frustrated by the fact that he was not allowed to perform all of his own stunts in the 1984 film.

"Are you kidding? I was furious," Bacon told People. "It's like a starting
pitcher getting taken out of a game - no one wants to be told they can't get
 the guy out."

He continued: "I had a stunt double, a
dance double and two gymnastics doubles. There were five of
us in the f**king outfit, and I felt horrible."

Kenny Wormald, star of the new remake of Footloose, recently revealed that he was bullied as a youngster for his love of dancing.

In July, Bacon joined the cast of R.I.P.D.. He will play the villain in the supernatural film.

R.I.P.D. is scheduled to open in cinemas on June 28, 2013.
