The superhero blockbuster, which is shooting under the codename 'Magnus Rex', will begin 14 days of shooting in Manhattan on October 29, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Occupy Wall Street is an ongoing demonstration taking place at Zuccotti Park on Wall Street to protest social and economic inequality and the influence of corporations and lobbyists over government.
It is thought that Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan will use the demonstrations as a backdrop or stand-in for scenes that already exist in the film.
