Catherine Zeta-Jones to cheat on Russell Crowe in 'Broken City'

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in Broken City.

The Rock of Ages star will appear in director Allen Hughes's movie alongside Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg, reports Deadline.

Zeta-Jones will play the philandering wife of Crowe's mayor of New York City.

Wahlberg will appear as a detective hired by the mayor to identify his wife's secret lover. After finding the lover dead, he uncovers a deeper plot involving his employer.

Brian Tucker has written the Broken City script and Randall Emmett, Stephen Levinson, Wahlberg and George Furla are producing the film.

Hughes is best known for his co-director role on The Book of Eli.

Shooting will begin in November in New York.
