Joseph Gordon-Levitt to join Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained'?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join Quentin Tarantino's upcoming movie Django Unchained.

Django Unchained tells the story of a slave-turned-bounty hunter on a quest to rescue his wife from a Mississippi plantation owner.

Gordon-Levitt has not yet been attached to any role, reports Variety.

The 50/50 actor was reportedly spotted kissing Scarlet Johansson recently, sparking rumours that the two stars are dating.

Meanwhile, co-star Anna Kendrick revealed that an on-screen kiss between her and Gordon Levitt in 50/50 was ultimately decided against.

"The studio wanted to see us kiss at the end, actually," Kendrick said. "We were thinking about just trying it as an option. Joe very wisely stood up and said, 'If we give it to them as an option, they will use it'."

"So we just decided not to do it, because it really just didn't feel right. And I was relieved, because I had known Joe for too long at that point. It's too weird once you think of someone as a friend to be like, 'OK, I guess we make out now?'"
