Stanley Tucci has said that he enjoyed shooting The Hunger Games.

The Devil Wears Prada star, who plays Caesar Flickerman in the forthcoming adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel, revealed that he especially had fun playing around with the wardrobe and make-up for the character.

"We had wigs made there," Tucci told MTV News. "I had some noses made, which we ended up not using and teeth and a whole bunch of different things."

He continued: "When I got to North Carolina [to shoot Hunger Games], we played around for about seven hours and we started shooting the next day. I was only there for about a week, but it was fantastic."

He went on to praise the entire cast of the highly-anticipated movie, particularly Jennifer Lawrence, who stars as the protagonist Katniss Everdeen.

"She was amazing," Tucci said of Lawrence. "They were all amazing. She's just so good and so mature at such a young age. It was really fun. Really fun. And [director] Gary [Ross], he's great."

The Hunger Games wrapped filming in North Carolina in mid-September. It will open in cinemas on March 2012.
