Steven Spielberg: 'I had to get Doctor Who's Steven Moffat for Tintin'

Steven Spielberg has revealed that he and Peter Jackson were determined to secure Steven Moffat's services for their Tintin movie.
The veteran filmmaker said in an interview with The Sun that Doctor Who is one of his favourite TV shows.
Spielberg explained: "Peter [Jackson] and I felt whoever did Doctor Who would have a good sensibility for Tintin. It so happens Steven had read Tintin since he was 8."

The Oscar and BAFTA winner also praised Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, who stepped in to complete the script when Moffat returned to Doctor Who.
Spielberg described the pair as "two great British writers".
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is due out in the UK on October 26 and on December 21 in the US.
