'Harry Potter' DVDs to be pulled from December 29

The company will stop shipping Harry Potter film titles to stores as of December 29, Deadline reports.
The move is described as an attempt to drive up sales of the films by encouraging individuals to purchase the DVDs in question before they are no longer available.
Warner Bros will likely follow the Disney model and re-release the DVDs for purchase periodically. Since 2001, Disney has released titles including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Bambi, Fantasia and The Lion King in such a manner.
Harry Potter star Emma Watson recently started classes at Oxford University, announcing on her blog that she will be taking a break from making movies in order to concentrate on her studies.
The Harry Potter franchise has grossed over $12.1 billion (£7.6 billion) for Warner Bros since the 2001 release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
