Russell Crowe to play villain in Akiva Goldsman's 'Winter's Tale'

According to The Hollywood Reporter Crowe is "loosely attached" to play the film's villain.
Winter's Tale is being adapted by screenwriter and producer Akiva Goldsman, as his directorial debut, from Mark Helprin's critically-acclaimed 1983 novel.
It has also been reported that Thor star Tom Hiddleston and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter actor Benjamin Walker are in talks for the other male lead role.
Elizabeth Olsen and Bella Heathcote are attached to the female lead part of a terminally ill woman.
No potential release window for Winter's Tale has been announced.
