Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn for 'The Revenant'?

Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn are in talks to star in Alejandro González Iñárritu's new film.
The Revenant will be based on Michael Punke's revenge novel of the same name.
The Babel director has already met with the actors, according to Deadline.
Set in the 1920s, the movie will feature DiCaprio as frontiersman Hugh Glass.
Penn is wanted for the role of one of the men hired to help Glass on a bear trapping expedition, but who instead rob and leave him for dead after he is injured.
Director John Hillcoat (The Road) was previously rumoured to be working on the adaptation, with speculation that Christian Bale would star in the film.
Filming on Penn's next directorial project The Comedian is expected to begin in spring 2012.
DiCaprio will next appear in the starring role in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar.
Shooting on The Revenant is scheduled to begin in autumn 2012.
