Robert Pattinson first shot to attention playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Post-Potter, plum roles were hard to come by until director Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart championed him for the role of Twilight's moody vampire Edward Cullen.
Starring roles in Water for Elephants and Remember Me followed, while movies with Uma Thurman (Bel Ami) and David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis) are on the horizon.
