Tom Hanks to star in 'Patriot Down'?

The Da Vinci Code star could play the US president in the upcoming action film, Variety reports.
Patriot Down focuses on a American president who finds himself alone in Afghanistan after Air Force One gets shot down.
Hanks is developing a new comedy series with HBO titled Players.
In August, he refunded two moviegoers who expressed disappointment at his latest release Larry Crowne.
The actor can next be seen in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close opposite Sandra Bullock and Viola Davis.
