Jake Gyllenhaal to star in 'The Way, Way Back'?

The Descendants writing team of Nat Faxon and Jim Rash have written the movie and are attached to direct, reports Indie Wire.
The film centres on a teenage boy who develops a strong friendship over one extraordinary summer that gives him the strength to stand up to his domineering father and reconnect with his mother.
The script was originally bought by producer Paul Young to Shawn Levy in 2007 when it was titled The Way Back.
Young was originally attached to direct the film.
There is no indication yet as to when The Way, Way Back will enter production.
