The Tower Heist director resigned as producer of the 2012 Academy Awards ceremony after making a controversial gay slur in which he described rehearsals as being "for f*gs".
However, the Glee actress revealed that she did not find Ratner's remarks to be offensive.
"I wasn't offended," Lynch - who hosted this year's Primetime Emmy awards - told E! Online. "I'm okay.
"I think humour is such a personal thing and you put a microphone in somebody's face, they're going to say something that offends somebody. I feel bad for him."
Following Ratner's departure, Eddie Murphy quit as the host of the 2012 Academy Awards, saying in a statement that he supported Ratner's decision to resign.
Last week, Brian Grazer was announced as the new producer of next year's Oscars in the wake of Ratner's resignation. In addition, Billy Crystal replaced Murphy as the show's host.
