The Social Network director opened up about his upcoming feature, which stars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig.
"There's too much anal rape in this movie [to get nominated]," Fincher told Entertainment Weekly. "I think we're very safe."
He went on to talk about the nature of Oscar campaigning, admitting that he is not a fan of the process.
"It's an incredible drain - a cosmic drain," Fincher revealed, "because you have to be on your best behaviour. Every little weird facial tic that you may already have is now going to come under weird scrutiny on f**king YouTube."
Last week, Trent Reznor revealed that his soundtrack for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will see an official release outside of North America.
Fincher has previously opened up about why he rejected Scarlett Johansson for the role of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
