Tangled Ever After will screen in cinemas before the 3D re-release of Beauty and the Beast.
Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi will return as the voices of Rapunzel and Flynn.
The animation will feature the original movie's popular characters - Pascal the chameleon and Maximus the horse - as they frantically search for the royal couple's missing rings on the day of their wedding.
Disney has promised "a trail of comical chaos that includes flying lanterns, a flock of doves, a wine barrel barricade and a very sticky finale".
The short film will see the return of Tangled co-directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard.
The pair have previously said that they will be reuniting for a new Disney movie.
Beauty and the Beast will return to cinemas on January 20.
