Colin Farrell: 'Steven Spielberg's E.T. inspired me to act'

The Fright Night star confessed that he was incredibly moved by Steven Spielberg's 1982 cult classic and then realised that he wanted to be part of the filmmaking world.
"I cried and I just loved it. I was taken away completely to another world," Farrell told The Sun.
"It inspired in me all sorts of thoughts, emotions, and it has stayed with me very much. E.T. really did it for me."
Farrell recently admitted that he wrote a break-up letter to tobacco after quitting smoking.
