'Pirates' clings on to US top spot

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest remained at the top of the US box office chart last weekend, despite competition from four new entries.

The swashbuckling sequel took $35.2m over the three-day period, with closest rival Monster House earning $22.2m in its first week.

Also debuting were M Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water, and comedies Clerks 2 and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.
