Fox Atomic, an offshoot of 20th Century Fox, have revealed information about the sequel to hit film 28 Days Later.
Their press release states: "The film picks up six months after the Rage virus has decimated the city of London. The U.S. Army has restored order and is repopulating the quarantined city, when a carrier of the Rage virus enters London and unknowingly re-ignites the spread of the deadly infection, wreaking havoc on the entire population."
Directed by Spaniard Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the project will not involve 28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy. However, creators Danny Boyle, Alex Garland and Andrew Macdonald will return to work on the sequel.
The film is scheduled for release in May 2007.
