Vin Diesel's latest instalment in the franchise will resume shooting after Christmas following its eviction from the studio where it was being filmed, reports TMZ.
Michel Trudel, the owner of the Montreal studio, locked the crew out after the film's production company failed to pay its outstanding bills.
Trudel has allowed filming to resume following the recent payment of the bills.
Diesel has been rumoured to be taking a pay cut for his starring role in the movie.
This will mark his third appearance as the character, who debuted in 2000's Pitch Black.
Filming on the Riddick sequel will resume on December 28.
