Kyle Chandler is Russell Crowe's right-hand man in 'Broken City'

The Super 8 and Friday Night Lights actor will play Russell Crowe's right-hand man in the political thriller, according to Variety.
In September, Chandler won an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series' for his role on Friday Night Lights.
Last month, Friday Night Lights star Connie Britton confirmed that a film version of the series is in the works.
Broken City tells the story of a detective (Mark Wahlberg) contracted by a corrupt politician (Crowe) to learn the identify of his wife's lover. Written by Brian Tucker, the screenplay originally appeared on the 2008 'Black List', an annual run-down of the best unproduced scripts in Hollywood.
The film also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Griffin Dunne, James Ransone, Justin Chambers and Natalie Martinez.
Broken City is directed by Allen Hughes (The Book of Eli, From Hell) and has been given a provisional US release data of January 18, 2013.
