Owen Wilson has replied to Steely Dan's allegations that his latest film You, Me and Dupree has plagiarised one of their songs.
The band recently posted a cutting letter detailing their complaints on their official website, but the actor reportedly "flat out denies" their claims.
According to the Associated Press, Wilson said in a statement: "I have never heard the song 'Cousin Dupree' and I don't even know who this gentleman, Mr. Steely Dan, is. I hope this helps to clear things up and I can get back to concentrating on my new movie, Hey Nineteen."
'Hey Nineteen' happens to be the title of another hit song released by the band during the 1970s.
