Ice Age 4: Continental Drift
Ice Age will be brought to life on stage from November 2012, it has been revealed.

Fox Studios has partnered up with Stage Entertainment to turn the animated adventure into a live show, reports The Telegraph.

Titled Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure, the live show will take the audience on a new adventure with the characters in puppet form, combining ice skating, aerial arts and film.

Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson will write the music and lyrics while Michael Curry will design the costumes.

Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure will kick off on November 2012, starting in London's Wembley Arena, and will tour the world for five years.

The fourth instalment of the animated franchise, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, features the original cast (Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary) along with new voice talents Nicki Minaj, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Jeremy Renner, Aziz Ansari, Wanda Sykes and Keke Palmer.

Minaj recently revealed that her role in the new film was written for her.

She explained: "The original role that I was up for I didn't get, so I said, 'Oh, OK, whatever'. I was really mad, and the next thing you know, they called me and they said, 'We wrote in a part just for you 'cause we really want you to be a part of this movie'."

Ice Age 4 will hit theatres on July 6, 2012.
