Tom Cruise has revealed that he may star in a Top Gun sequel if the plot is right.
A follow-up to the 1986 movie - where Cruise starred as Maverick - was announced last year, but the actor's representatives said at the time that he would not be involved.

Cruise explained that he has spoken to director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer about potentially working on the project, and said that he would be interested if they "find a story that [they] all want to do".
"I hope we can figure this out to do it again," he told MTV News.
He revealed: "I said to Tony, I want to make another movie with him. He and I haven't made a film since Days of Thunder.
"Tony and I and Jerry, we never thought that we would do it again. Then they started to come to us with these ideas and I thought, wow, that would be what we could do now.
"We all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot Top Gun."
Asked what his potential role would be in the sequel, he replied: "I don't know - we're working on it."
The original Top Gun movie will see a 3D re-release at cinemas in 2012.
Tom Cruise will next be seen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which opens in the US on December 16 and will hit UK cinemas on Boxing Day.
