'The Amazing Spider-Man': Andrew Garfield on set - pictures

Kirsten Dunst has given Andrew Garfield her blessing, and The Amazing Spider-Man relaunch is gathering pace ahead of its summer 2012 release date.
Squeezing in before Christmas, a clutch of new on-set snaps show Garfield in Peter Parker mode, ready to fill Tobey Maguire's Marvel-ous spider-suit.
Marc Webb's reboot will focus on Parker's romance with first love Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), while Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Irrfan Khan round out the cast.
The Amazing Spider-Man will open in cinemas on July 3, 2012.
