Kate Beckinsale: 'I'd go naked on film'

Kate Beckinsale has said that she would film nude scenes in the future if her 12-year-old daughter agrees to let her.

The Underworld actress explained that she was open to stripping off for a film, providing that her family were comfortable with the inevitable fascination over the footage.

"I think it's worse nowadays, because you do something [like a nude scene] and somebody immediately makes a five-times-as-long feature on YouTube to rock music, and they play it over and over again," she jested with Redbook magazine.

"I'm not averse to doing a nude scene, but it would have to be something I felt I could really argue in front of my daughter, and so far that hasn't happened."

Beckinsale also spoke of the importance of spending time with Lily - her daughter with ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen - due to her "unconventional" family life.

"We've got a kind of unconventional family situation, with two dads, and I've always been the constant parent, the one who is here," she said. "So if anything ripples the water, then it's important to be home.

"My daughter is about to be 13, and I realise how fleeting time is. I was happy to be around Lily to talk about her day when she got home."

Beckinsale married Len Wiseman, director of the first Underworld movie, back in 2004.
