The Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actor revealed that he enjoys a challenge, confessing that he likes to perform his own stunts if the film in question calls for it.
"I think if it's required of me to do it, I think I'm attracted to challenges," Renner told The Playlist of performing his own stunts.
"So there's a great physical challenge in doing stunts," he added. "And also, there's no ticket you can buy for that ride, to do the stunts and to do the things that we were able to do in this movie; people don't get that opportunity.
"So yeah, that's exciting, if it serves the story and the character. I don't want to just do a stunt just to do a stunt [or] to have fun, but it just becomes the icing on the cake to help [Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol director] Brad Bird tell the story," Renner concluded.
Tom Cruise recently revealed that he escaped serious injury after repeatedly "slamming" into the tallest building in the world for a Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol stunt.
In November, Renner insisted that his career comes before his love life, claiming that he realised early on in his life that he wanted to become a successful actor much more than he wanted to find love.
