Brad Bird has admitted that he won't make a sequel to Pixar's The Incredibles until he finds a story that "holds up".

The Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol director told Digital Spy that any follow-up would have to match the high standards of the Toy Story sequels.
"I love the world and I love the [Incredibles] characters," he said. "I think the bar at Pixar is set very high with the Toy Story films. Either of the two sequels are just as good as the original.
"I would want any Incredibles sequel to be the same. If I can figure out a whole story that holds up I would be happy to do it."
The Incredibles, released in 2004, centres on a family of retired superheroes who are called back into action to fight the megalomaniacal Syndrome.
Bird's live-action debut Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol opens on IMAX screens across the UK on December 21 before expanding to conventional theatres on December 26.
