Michelle Yeoh takes on the role of Burmese activist Aung San Suu Kyi in Luc Besson's new movie The Lady.
The actress, whose screen credits include Sunshine, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Tomorrow Never Dies, stars opposite Harry Potter's David Thewlis as Besson tells the story of Suu Kyi and her enduring love for husband Michael Aris.
Digital Spy has an exclusive clip from the film (above), showing Suu Kyi being separated from Aris.
Yeoh was deported from Burma in June this year because of her role as the pro-democracy leader.
The Lady opens in UK cinemas on December 30.
