Clive Owen to star in 'Oldboy'?

Clive Owen has been offered a role in Oldboy.

The Children of Men star could take the part that had previously been offered to Colin Firth, according to Twitch.

Meanwhile, Mia Wasikowska has also been offered a role in director Spike Lee's revamp. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara was rumoured for the part, but she has apparently turned it down.

Oldboy is a remake of a 2003 Korean film from director Chan-wook Park. It focuses on a man who has five days to get revenge after being imprisoned for 15 years for no discernible reason.

Last month, Owen was cast in Recall, an action drama from Harold Becker (Mercury Rising, Domestic Disturbance).
