Eva Green in talks for '300' prequel

The Casino Royale star could play the female lead in the 300 prequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
300: Battle of Artemisia centers on the Persian leader Xerxes as he leads an army against Greek forces. Green would star as a gold-covered goddess who convinces Xerxes to head to battle.
Joel Edgerton was in talks to join the action film last month, but ultimately passed on the role.
In September, Gerard Butler confessed that he considers his 300 role to be his favourite, saying that he would love to reprise his role as Leonidas.
300: Battle of Artemisia will be directed by Noam Murro. It has yet to be given a release date.
