Two hi-resolution stills from The Dark Knight Rises have been released by Warner Bros.

The official production photos were previously available in lower quality in Empire magazine, but have now been released fully by the studio. The stills feature Christian Bale as Batman, and more prominently Tom Hardy as the main villain Bane.
The first image sees Bane holding up a photo of the deceased Harvey Dent while standing on top of an armed vehicle, with mercenaries standing by in the background.
The second shows mercenaries looking on as Batman and Bane are about to square off against each other.

Warner Bros executives have reportedly expressed concern over the sound quality of Bane's dialogue.
Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman will reprise their characters in The Dark Knight Rises, while Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake) and Marion Cotillard (Miranda Tate) will take on new roles.
The Dark Knight Rises opens in cinemas on July 20, 2012.
