Simpson considers 'Working Girl' role

Jessica Simpson is thinking about joining the cast of Working Girl, loosely based on the story of the hit Eighties film of the same name.
The singer's father and manager Joe was reportedly overheard discussing the project, in which his daughter would take on the ditsy role played by Melanie Griffiths in the original movie.
A spokesperson for the star told the New York Daily News: "It is one of the scripts Jessica is considering."
