The Hugo actress revealed that she believes choosing more adventurous roles will ensure that her career has longevity.
"I mean, it's acting. I like these roles because they're not me. That's what's fun about it. If I played another version of Chloe all the time, it would be boring," the 14-year-old explained in an interview with Teen Vogue.
"I'd love to be in this industry for the rest of my life - to write, direct, and produce my own movies. I'm an overachiever, you know? I'm always trying to find a way to do more."
Moretz also insisted that she will always remain grounded no matter how successful she becomes, adding: "Nobody really sits you down and gives you advice, but I've seen people who are so amazing and big but who are also so humble and normal. And I think, 'If they're like that, I can be like that too'."
She recently revealed that she is a member of the Film Foundation because of her love of old movies, particularly those starring Audrey Hepburn.
