Jeremy Renner has denied speculation that he will replace Tom Cruise as star of the Mission: Impossible franchise.
The Hurt Locker actor appears alongside Cruise in Ghost Protocol, the fourth instalment of the series.

Renner's character William Brandt has since been tipped to take over from Cruise's Ethan Hunt in future Mission: Impossible movies, but the 40-year-old insisted that there is no truth behind the claims.
"I heard that. I hear lots of rumours," he told Reuters. "No, it's not true about Mission: Impossible. There's no taking over. It's not happening."
